Types of Contacts in the DMS
The DMS has 3 different Contact Types
There are three different Types of Contacts in the DMS:
- (1) Individuals,
- (2) Households, and
- (3) Organizations.
Different Contact Types are important to properly categorize your Contact list and to enable Relationships between them.
Differences between Contact Types
Individuals: A single person or donor, and can be used for couples.
Households: A group of individuals of the same family or household; generally only used to connect multiple individual family members using Relationships.
Organizations: Any public / private organization or company that contains Individuals associated with them.
